A Few of My Favorite Things:  Ramblings about the iTouchless Smart Trashcan ®.

Ok, I admit, I'm not someone who normally gets excited about domestic products.  Nor would I be labeled a "germ-a-phobic".  Not that there is anything wrong with those who are domestic in nature or have reasons to be extra concerned about germs.  That is just not me.  But sometimes to aid others, you just have to share!

Let's start from the beginning.  We have been in our home for 10 years.  As you know, after 10 years, you've collected a lot of stuff.  In this case, my kitchen cabinets and pantry are full leaving no room for my trashcan.  Therefore, we have had our trashcan sitting next to our kitchen island due to both space and convenience.  So, what's the problem?  Well, we have an adorable little dog who loves to dine at Café la Garbage.  The moment you throw away any type of food, gum, candy, etc. she is "garbage dining".  Have you ever seen a dog chew ABC (already been chewed) gum?  It's quite funny to watch but, not good for the dog.  Like a flash of lightening, the moment my kids emptied their leftovers into the garbage, our dog was eating "fast food" requiring us to sprint from the dinner table to save her from the effect of people food and to find a place to put the trashcan so she couldn't get to it again.

I had searched the stores for a suitable trashcan to no avail.  We needed one with a lid but, I didn't like the idea of people (as in kids) depositing their cold germs, food particles, etc. on the lid for someone else to pick up and share.  I also didn't like the idea of having to constantly clean the lid of my trash can.  After another evening of having to once again chase down our dog (this time while preparing dinner) to get the butter wrapper that was stuck to her paw, I had had enough.  I ever so gently expressed to my husband "We have to do something about this trashcan" (we as in he, of course).  In an instant, he pulled out his laptop, let his fingers do the walking and Bam!, he had a solution...iTouchless Smart Trashcan ®.

After checking all 182 ratings giving this Touch Free, Germ Free, Odor Free trashcan a 4.8 rating, we decided this was the trashcan of our dreams.  In less than 30 minutes, it was on its way to save the day of this North Carolina family.  It arrived in about 4 days.  The moment the UPS guy left, I opened the box to see if this Wonder Can could really do the job.  I had it assembled within minutes.  With a little help from 4 "D" batteries, the iTouchless Smart Trashcan ® came to life.  With a flip of the switch the little infrared light woke up and with a swipe of my hand, pop goes the trashcan lid.  Within about 15 seconds, the lid went down and all was good.

No more Café la Garbage for our little pup.  No more sprinting during dinner.  No more musical garbage can hide and seek in the kitchen.  Once again...Life is Good.  Thanks to iTech Man and the iTouchless Smart Trashcan ®!

*On a serious Note:  I hope you found the above true story amusing.  My intentions for this post is to share with you how wonderful the iTouchless Smart Trashcan really is.  And no, I'm not getting paid for this endorsement.  When I find something truly useful, I like to share with others. Have a great day!
