Seller Tips: How to Get Your Home Sold or In This Case, Not Sold
Is It Literally, Hot! Hot! Hot! ???
Tomorrow is the first official day of summer. We Live in North Carolina Folks! It Get's Hot and Humid in the Summer! I love the summer weather especially if I'm at the beach or on the lake. But, I like to be comfortable and not sweaty while I'm working.
For some reason, there are homeowners who keep their home very warm and some who even turn off the air conditioning to save money while they're at work. Whatever the reason, if you keep your house hot, people won't stay in it for very long. You may lose a sale if Your House is too hot!
Trust me, if I'm working with a buyer and we're out looking at homes during the summer months we're HOT! We're getting in and out of a car that warms up quickly. We're on the move going from car to house then repeat!
There are several things that will rush a buyer through a home quickly. One of those is uncomfortable temperatures. If a house is warm or hot, it better be a pretty remarkable home or remarkable price if you want the buyer to take a serious look. If a house is too hot, we're outta there!
It also makes buyers wonder if something is wrong with the air conditioning or if the house has been well kept.
On the flip side, other sellers can take advantage of the hot weather. Make the house nice and cool (not freezing cold) leave water bottles, lemonade or iced tea and cookies for home buyers and they're more likely to take a break and spend more time admiring your home.
