One of the TOP Selling Neighborhoods in Cary, NC
Established 1995 - 1996
The Brookstone subdivision was first established by Jenks-Carpenter Associates and John Crosland Company during the later part of 1993 when Cary, NC's growth momentum was taking off. The last phase was completed by 2000. Research shows it was previously farmland owned by The JJ & Mildred Lewey Family since the mid 1960's. They in turn sold it to Jenks-Carpenter Associates. The builder was John Crosland Company. During the latter part of construction the Building Company was Centex-Crosland. Some of the streets such as Lewey Dr., Fryar Creek, and Seymour Creek are named after previous owners. It is very likely other streets are named after previous family members.

Brookstone Swim Club
The Brookstone Swim Club was originally owned by a Private Investor. At that time, other neighborhoods were invited to join the Swim Club during the summer for a fee of about $400 +/-. In April 2001, the Brookstone Community purchased the Swim Club allowing all Brookstone homeowner access and use of the lovely facilities. The Neighborhood does boast a lively Swim Team - The Brookstone Barracudas.
There are actually two sections of Brookstone. When you visit the neighborhood, you'll find attractive stone pillars indicating which street is The Forest at Brookstone and which is The Village at Brookstone. Some of the basic differences are house plans, lot sizes, and upgrades/features. The builder had specific floor plans for each neighborhood. The Forest Homes were typically the larger homes and the Village homes while still spacious and nice were the smaller floor plans. What's interesting about Brookstone is it was one of the earlier developments in the West Cary area to have light, bright open/transitional floor plans. The area was growing with people relocation from areas accustom to a less traditional feel. You'll often find nice sized lots, spacious common rooms as well as spacious bedrooms in Brookstone. The floor plans are still popular today!
The nice thing about the Village at Brookstone is it is very affordable. The homes are still nice and spacious but allows you to get into a nice West Cary neighborhood for a great price. When you drive through the neighborhood, the two areas of The Forest and The Villages flow seamlessly together creating a feeling of continuity and community. You instantly feel like you home.

Beaver Creek Commons in about 6 minutes, and Park West Shopping in about 10 minutes. There are Grocery Stores, a neighborhood Walmart restaurants, Duncan Doughnuts, and other retails withing walking distance. You can easily access the Town of Cary Walking Trails.
